A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Mark Bilbrey now lives with his wife in Arnoldsville, Georgia, where he reads and studies for his comprehensive exam list. He's working towards his PhD in English and Creative Writing, focusing on Early and Modern American Poetry and something he calls "the poetics of prayer." He earned an MFA in poetry at the University of Iowa's Writers' Workshop and a BA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Mark teaches composition, literature, and creative writing. His dog is older than his students
