People / Michael Tod Edgerton

Michael Tod Edgerton’s writing has mysteriously appeared in such publications as Denver Quarterly, New American Writing, New Orleans Review, Skanky Possum, Word For/Word, and has won the Boston Review and Five Fingers Review contests. Originally from Kentucky, Tod has also lived in New Orleans, where he worked a bewildering array of jobs, including “reveling” in faux-Mardi Gras parades for Midwestern orthodontists and dancing in French Quarter clubs (an unpaid internship). He found time to also co-direct Lit City, a reading series that featured such poets as Peter Gizzi, D. A. Powell, and Leslie Scalapino. He currently and for the foreseeable future holds an MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University.
