People / Heather Matesich
Heather Matesich Cousins is a fifth year PhD student. She graduated with honors in Anthropology from Bryn Mawr College in 2001. In 2002, she received an M.A. from The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University. While at the University of Georgia, she has been treasurer of EGO (the English Graduate Organization) and a volunteer in the Athens Mentor Program. She has been published in The Dunes Review, Staccato, and La Petite Zine. She is presently finishing up a book of poetry titled Something in the Potato Room and working on a yet-to-be-named novel about the Federal Writers Project, geechee culture, connection and misconnection.
