Dorine Preston is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Georgia, where she has been the Assistant to the Editors of The Georgia Review. A Seattle-area native, she earned her MFA in Poetry from New Mexico State University. Her poems and reviews have appeared or are forthcoming in journals such as Isotope, Ninth Letter, New Delta Review, Coconut, and Court Green. She is a winner of a 2005 Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Memorial Poetry Prize, and received an honorable mention in the 2005 Atlantic Monthly Student Writing Contest. She is the grateful recipient of a 2007-8 Dissertation Completion Award.
