Sara Steger received her PhD from the University of Georgia, where her scholarly and pedagogical interests focused on nineteenth-century British literature and Digital Humanities. She is now Assistant Director of FYC and Lecturer in the English department of the University of Georgia, where she teaches Digital Humanities, Romantic and Victorian literature, and first-year composition classes.  She is also a researcher and developer for the Emma project, a digital writing environment (www.emma.uga.edu).

The First-year Composition Program (Christy Desmet, Deborah Miller, Sara Steger, and Robby Nadler) won an SEC 2017-18 SEC Faculty Travel Program Award in collaboration with their First-year Writing Program counterparts at the University of Alabama.
