Dr. Simrill's documentaries have appeared in multiple festivals, on Georgia Public Television, and in publications such as The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and NME. He writes for Paste Magazine. Inspired by Heraclitus, he cannot teach the same course twice. Recent offerings include classes on Family History (with ancestry.com), Economics and Literature, Charles Darwin and Walt Disney, ESPN's 30-for-30 documentary series, Hamilton the Musical, the films of Quentin Tarantino, Stand-up and Sketch Comedy, The New Yorker magazine, and archives-based documentary filmmaking.
