Morgan Richardson Dietz is an English Ph.D. candidate at the University of Georgia, where she teaches First Year Writing and Literature courses. Her dissertation, titled "Political Portions: Women and Hunger in Contemporary South Asian Fiction," concentrates on hunger in literature from the Northeast Indian subcontinent and connects women’s food labor, eating, and abstention to both individual forms of resistance and collective political activism.
