Nathan Dixon is a third-year PhD student in the English Department focusing on creative writing and Modern American Literature.  His primary areas of interest lie in the 19th and 20th centuries, specifically in emerging and regional modernism(s) and discourses between the American and the global south.  His earlier critical work focused on the English Renaissance, and two of his critical articles have been published in Renaissance Papers where he previously served as Assistant Editor.  His current creative projects include a composite satirical novel decrying the hypocrisy of fundamentalism and a long-form hybridized non-fiction essay on the multiple concepts of consent.  His creative work has appeared in Tin House, the North Carolina Literary Review, and NAILED among others.  His one act play “Thoughts & Prayers Inc.” was chosen by National Book Award Winner Nikky Finney as the 48th Annual Winner of the Agnes Scott College Prize.
