Mikaela Warner is a Ph.D. student who studies Early Modern British Literature through the lenses of Disability Studies and Queer Studies. Her most recent project, "Exploring 'Zelmaneship': Queer Inwardness in Sidney's New Arcadia" investigates how early modern representations of nonconforming gender are not solely about bodily difference or expression, but also show an inner queer self. Mikaela currently works as the Editorial Assistant to Borrowers and Lenders: The Journal of Shakespeare and Appropriation.
