Creative Writing Program Welcomes Booker Prize Finalist Neel Mukherjee THURS 10/23

With support from the Willson Center for Humanities & Arts and the English Department, The Creative Writing Program is overjoyed to welcome Booker Prize Finalist Neel Mukherjee to Athens!

The reading will be held in The Graduate Reading Room on the third floor of the Main Library on North Campus. Books will be available for purchase before and after the reading. 

Neel Mukherjee is the author of A Life Apart (2010), which won the Writers' Guild of Great Britain award for best fiction; The Lives of Others (2014), which was a finalist for the Booker Prize and won the Royal Society of Literature's Encore Award; A State of Freedom (2018), which was a New York Times '100 notable books of the year', and chosen as a book of the year by the NPR, NYPL, and Kirkus; and Choice (2024), which was a finalist for the Goldsmith's Prize and was a Wall Street Journal 'top 10 books of the year'. He has written a book in the Cahiers Series called Avian (2020). He teaches Creative Writing and English Literature at Harvard University.
