A graduate of Spelman College (B.A. English, 2019) with a concentration in Black Cultural Studies, Chanara Andrews is a first-year doctoral student in the English Department at the University of Georgia. She served as Vice President of the Omega Xi Chapter of the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society (2018-19). She is interested in twentieth- and twenty-first century African Diasporic Literature and Culture. Her research engages how Black writers use self-scrutiny and self-exploration in order to develop individual or collective ethics.
