The Department of English provides strong support for its graduate students through the job search process.  The Graduate Placement Officer guides students through the details of composing a dossier of materials, preparing for job interviews (whether in person, by phone, or by Skype), and otherwise professionalizing oneself.  In addition to reviewing and responding to sample dossier materials, the Placement Officer schedules mock-interviews and teaches the department's professionalization course each Spring Semester (ENGL 6999).  Please contact the Graduate Placement Officer, Dr. Casie LeGette, at, and she will enroll you in the job search listserv and make available sample job letters and CVs, as well as advise you about how to prepare for and succeed on the academic job market.
