Sayantika Mandal completed her MFA in Writing (Fiction) from the University of San Francisco where she was awarded the Jan Zivic Fellowship. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Southern Review of BooksIndian Literature, The Citron Review, Cerebration, Feminism in India, Times of India, and others. She is currently working on her first novel Driftwood. 

She received an Arts Lab Assistantship from UGA's Willson Center of Humanities & Arts, and as part of that, she is working on creating an archive to record stories of cross-border migration based in South Asia.
