Interdisciplinary Modernisms Workshop presents “Militarized Visualities" with Dr. Noemi Quagliati

Dr. Quagliati
Lamar Dodd School of Art, 3rd Floor Conference Room

Dr. Quagliati (Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich) will be on campus through the UGA Franklin-LMU faculty research exchange program. The Interdisciplinary Modernisms Workshop is delighted to host her for a presentation and discussion of her forthcoming book, Militarized Visualities. The workshop will address photographic modes of vision in the First World War, illuminating how the military conflict influenced well-established canons of imagining, representing, and perceiving the landscape in Germany. An optional reading will be pre-circulated on the listserv in advance of the workshop.

To join the listserv, or to present research at a workshop, contact co-directors: Nell Andrew (Art History), Rielle Navitski (Film, LACSI), Susan Rosenbaum (English).

The Interdisciplinary Modernisms Workshop is a Faculty Research Cluster sponsored by the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts
